Aimee holds an Executive MBA from George Washington University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University in Michigan. She is a Certified Black Belt in Innovation Engineering, with a comprehensve 20+ year background in process improvement, business operations, and technology transition experience.
She honed her technology experience through work at the IIT Research Institute in Chicago, and in systems development for the U.S. Department of the Army at the Tank-Automotive Command in Warren, Michigan. As a Senior Executive with the U.S. Department of Commerce, she gained hands-on experience building a national network of professionals delivering best business practices. At the National Institute of Standards and Technology, she helped smaller firms stay in business by implemeting lean manufacturing concepts. Today, Aimee is using value stream mapping to help start-ups and nonprofit organizations streamline expenses. Aimee was selected for three special assignments providing policy advice at the federal executive levels, including the Commerce Department and the President's Council on Environmental Quality.
